Simple, competitive rates.
Affinity Long Distance offers you a choice of rate plans: 9.9¢ per minute, all the time, with $3 monthly minimum; or 3.9¢ per minute interstate, all the time, with $2.95 monthly fee. For businesses, the rate is 3.9¢ per minute, all the time, with a $15 monthly minimum and a two-year contract. (In-state, AK, HI, PR, and VI calls have different rates; inquire.)
- How Affinity can do this: Other carriers spent millions every week on advertising, which must come out of customers' rates. Affinity does not advertise. It passes the savings on to you, and to El Porvenir.
For every dollar you spend on long distance, El Porvenir will receive a 5% royalty. This means that you'll be supporting our work in Nicaragua by simply using the phone as you already do.
- Your calls will go over the vast network of one of the major carriers. You'll have global reach and highest quality service. There are no special codes to dial -- just call 1, area code, and phone number as you do now.
Compare with the other well-known progressive service, Working Assets Long Distance. Working Assets' general plan gives just 1% of your phone bill, and divides it among 30 or so groups. If your bill is $20 a month, Working Assets gives about EIGHT CENTS a year from your bill to each organization; Affinity gives TWELVE DOLLARS a year to El Porvenir for the same usage.
Affinity's service quality is guaranteed. At any time, if you are dissatisfied, we will arrange to switch you back to your previous carrier and pay any switching fees charged by your local phone company.

Other carriers routinely bill your calls by rounding up to the next whole minute. Affinity will charge only for the time you use, billing your calls in six-second increments. So, the next time you make a 65-second call, you can be sure that you won't be billed for two minutes.
Affinity's Calling Card lets you save no matter where or when you call. All domestic calls are 25¢ per minute, all the time. (There are no Affinity per-call surcharges. Calls made from pay phones are surcharged 25¢ per FCC rules.) Enjoy easy-access calling (including international) from any phone in America and six-second incremental billing at discounted rates.

Although your local phone company may charge a small fee (generally $5 or less) for switching your service, Affinity will send you a certificate to use as a credit on your first bill. If within 90 days following service activation you become dissatisfied for any reason, Affinity will pay to switch you back to the carrier of your choice.
